Bradley is a Ph.D. student with the Empathic Computing Lab. with a bachelor degree in Information Technology (Networking and Security) and Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours).
His interests lie in understanding both the technical and social aspects of information technology (IT) and how IT can be used to understand human emotion, which can be appropriated to helping people, especially in the field of education. Bradley’s Ph.D. research is on using Augmented Reality (AR) with affective-based ITSs to create an enhanced learning experience based on Experiential Learning Theory (ELT).
His motivation for studying this topic was that as a student in computer networking, he noticed that many students had difficulties with applying the theory to real-life tasks like network troubleshooting. During his honours research, he got further insight into how students are taught computer networking which stimulated his interest in developing systems that could improve students’ learning in practical-based education.
